Consumer Tags

Consumer tags are data points added to a consumer's profile as a tag. These tags are used to target (filter) content to selected groups of consumers (ie: Consumer with a selected tag(s)). The consumer tag report allow users to report on the number of consumers with a selected tag.

All tags are supported and can be reported on including custom tags.

For example one group of default tags is called Consumer System Tags and includes the following consumer tags:

  • Push Message APNS: When a consumer gives VMob an Apple Push Messaging token (ie: the technical ability to send a push message) then the VMob platform automatically tags the consumer with the Push Message APNS tag. This tag can be used for filter targeting.

  • Push Message GCM: When a consumer gives VMob a Google Push Messaging token (ie: the technical ability to send a push message) then the VMob platform automatically tags the consumer with the Push Message GCM tag. This tag can be used for filter targeting.

  • Phone MSISDN: If the consumer has provided a MSISDN (Mobile Phone Number) then the VMob platform automatically tags the consumer with the Phone MSISDN tag. This tag can be used for filter targeting.

  • Facebook: If the consumer has provided a Facebook ID then the VMob platform automatically tags the consumer with the Facebook tag. This tag can be used for filter targeting.

  • Email: If the consumer has provided an Email Address then the VMob platform automatically tags the consumer with the Email tag. This tag can be used for filter targeting.

  • Anonymous: If the consumer has registered anonymously (ie: Device registration) then the VMob platform automatically tags the consumer with the Anonymous tag. This tag can be used for filter targeting.
